She/They/Anything with care
I hold the immense honor of being a proud, Queer midwife that actively seeks to decolonize reproductive care. I am a neurodivergent parent to four marvelous kiddos-also all neurodivergent, and have over a decade of experience in supporting families and individuals seeking various forms of respectful reproductive care-whether it be through a homebirth or an annual well visit. I aim to provide trauma informed care where you feel safe, are listened to, and honored as the whole individual you are.

Cubero Dr Albuquerque 87109
Queer and non monogamous affirming prenatal, birth, and postpartum care. Well person annual exams for AFAB individuals. STI screenings. Queer family building guidance. Lactation/bodyfeeding support. Abortion counseling and post abortion care. Pregnancy loss support
As a disclaimer, I primarily work with those who are AFAB due to my scope of practice as a Licensed Midwife, most folks I see are cishet women. I greatly enjoy being able to serve transmasculine clients and nonbinary folx as they find me, and hope to continue serving non traditional families that perhaps are single by choice or those that practice non monogamy.
(Sorry, I think I answered this partially in my prior response). As someone who openly practices various forms of non monogamy, I have a desire to normalize non traditional family structures throughout one's lifespan, and support those of us that are stepping into a non-nuclear paradigm as we raise the next generations.
As a white care provider, in a field that is dominated by primarily white cishet women, I seek to return and acknowledge where many of our skills came from- which are Black Granny Midwives from the South. This knowledge was co-opted and then abused by white providers, and has created harmful outcomes that we are seeing the impact of today- such as the skyrocketing maternal mortality rate amongst BIPOC individuals. To counteract this, I have made it my heart's work to make homebirth care in particular accessible to BIPOC individuals. I have experience as a staff midwife with the Indigenous founded Changing Woman Initiative, which was focused on providing culturally sensitive care to Native American families.
Reproductive work is political work-always!
I am highly familiar with serving families/individuals who fall into all ND categories, those who are physically or mentally disabled, and am excited to continue working with all the differing needs that is at the heart of midwifery- which is providing indiviualized care for the person in front of you.
I believe strongly in meeting everyone where they are at, and desire to be as adaptive and flexible in what my client's may need. I was raised by a mother with disabilities who taught me the importance of always remaining open to learning and growing.
