Integrative mental health and wellness services. Mental health therapy options include LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, trauma work / EMDR, and animal-assisted therapy. Wellness programs include movement meditation and dog training, including service dog training.
I serve all genders of folx. I have presented at Gender Odyssey and have facilitated a variety of trainings in New Mexico and several other states. I am well-versed in the gender spectrum and believe strongly in the importance of continuing education and cultural humility. I have worked for and with the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico in various roles. My service project with Public Allies New Mexico focused on facilitating continuing education and gender justice. My dissertation focused on socio-historic attitudes about gender.
I am an open and affirming therapist with experience working with a spectrum of family structures. I facilitate microaggression education workshops and workshops on culturally responsive care. I believe that sexuality and/or family is identified by each person/people.
I value racial and ethnic diversity and as a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist I work with a diverse clientele. My dissertation examined socio-historic attitudes related to intersections between racial / ethnic diversity and gender norms. I have professional experience working for the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center and for Public Allies New Mexico.
I often work with neurodiverse clients and value their perspectives and experiences. I have worked for and with accessibility services departments of several university campuses. I have worked for the University of New Mexico Office of Equal Opportunity.
